Our background? My wife and I live in the Lake Minnetonka area, a west suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. We have been gardening and crafting for 18 years. We have enjoyed creating practical but beautiful pieces for family, friends and ourselves. I have set tile for friends and family for 10 years so it was very easy to combine the artistry of gardening and crafting with my tiling experience and transition into this current art form of decorative garden accessories using natural stone. My wife and I enjoy using our artistic side to create new pieces.
We started creating rock art pieces for fun and found that we really enjoyed it. Since the pieces are functional and beautiful, we started selling them. Each piece is a unique labor of love. We do all the work ourselves, including the sourcing of materials, so production is sometimes limited.
The planters are built to withstand winter temperatures. Fall maintenance is encouraged by removing dead plant material and dirt for winter storage or brought inside. If left outside no water should be left in the pot that might expand and crack the pot. Each item is built using quality materials and is sealed with a top-quality sealant. All pots should be re-sealed every few years. All of our items are sealed twice with a durable protective acrylic glaze formulated with special polymers including UV absorbers and a biocide to inhibit growth of mold, mildew, fungus and algae so your piece of art will look good for years to come.
We believe our pieces will provide customers many years of enjoyment due to the strength and integrity of the construction. Planters can add beauty to your environment and serve many different uses such as decorating the front door, along walkways, on the patio or used as containers to hold utensils, wine, or even your toiletries on the Jacuzzi. Or, they can be stand-alone pieces on shelves or used as a table centerpiece, becoming the topic of conversation.
We directly source all of the natural materials we use in our pieces. The quantity of the natural materials we use is sometimes limited and rare because of the availability of the deposits. Sometimes we are able to find only small deposits of the stone and we collect as much as we can so we can create an interesting unique piece of art. We mix our own grout colors to compliment each piece.
